"Hispanic" male nurse Jose sexually assaulted a sedated young woman several times MIAMI (AP) - A male nurse sexually assaulted a sedated female patient several times at a Miami hospital, authorities said Wednesday. Jose Augusto Alfonso, 45, was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly sexually assaulting an 18-year-old patient at Jackson Memorial Hospital. The woman's identity was not released. "Our victim stated to investigators that he entered her room several times, fondling her breasts and digitally penetrating her -- using his hands or fingers on her," said Detective Joey Giordano of the Miami-Dade County Police Department. |
Family Asks For Justice In Clayton Murder Case  CLAYTON, N.C. -- For the first time, a family involved in a six-year-old murder is talking. They are trying to put a face behind the victim and get the ultimate punishment for Jonathan Jenkins accused of killing Joseph Vestal Jr. "The most important thing to us, I think, is just to know that he didn't die in vain, that justice does get served. That's all anyone would want," said Stella Cates, Vestal's sister. |
Sailor Charged with Abducting, Raping Exotic Dancer Virginia Beach police say Sean Omar Wilmot, a 23-year-old sailor abducted and raped an exotic dancer. The incident happened on Christmas Eve. The victim arrived to dance at the apartment then the suspect, Sean Omar Wilmot, told the victim to strip and then demanded sex. Police say he threatened to kill the victim if she did not comply. The victim was able to contact her agency during the crime, and they called police. After the suspect sexually assaulted the woman, a brief struggle occurred. The victim was able to escape. Officers arrived as the women came out of the apartment screaming for help. Sean Omar Wilmot was charged with rape and abduction. |
13-Year-Old Says KC Man Sexually Sodomized Her Jimmie Gatewell Jr. is accused of sexually assaulting a 13 year-old girl last month. He's charged with six felonies: three counts of forcible sodomy and three counts of statutory sodomy.

HIV-positive man who infected 17 women sentenced to 178 years A man convicted of deliberately exposing 17 women to HIV was sentenced yesterday to 178 years in prison. Anthony Whitfield, 32, was found guilty last month on 17 counts of first-degree assault with sexual motivation, two counts of witness tampering and three counts of violating a court protection order. Whitfield reportedly was infected with HIV while serving a prison term in Oklahoma in the 1990s. Five women cited in the case have tested positive for HIV, the virus that causes AIDS, and a sixth has developed AIDS. Health authorities said as many as 170 people may have been exposed to the virus, including subsequent partners of women with whom he slept. - (Brewski) |

Black Teen Faces Murder Charge in Death of White Baby  Prosecutors charged Timothy L. Thomas Jr., 17, with second-degree murder in the death of Alyssa Gardner.The child died Dec. 16. It was her first birthday.Thomas was accused of shaking Gardner when she wouldn't stop crying at a mobile home park at 78th and Prospect.A doctor said the girl suffered injuries consistent with shaken baby syndrome, according to a court document. The girl was staying with a relative - who lives with Snipes - over the summer. | 14 | Internet Meeting Leads To Rape Of 14-Year-Old Boy Memphis, TN - Detectives are investigating the rape of a teenage boy this past weekend. The boy told investigators he met the man on the internet. When the man picked up the boy, the man told the victim he was an uncle of the teenager he had agreed to meet. The man then drove the boy to a secluded area where he allegedly raped him. Investigators arrested Freddie Cowser, III, who lives in Memphis. He has been charged with Statutory Rape and Solicitation of a Minor. Detectives say Cowser had names and other internet addresses in his pockets. Those internet addresses are being investigated to see whether Cowser might have had dealings with those persons. - (forum) |

Emory Carter set a church on fire eight years ago during a black race riot - on Friday he was sent to prison for murder of a White   Eight years ago, Emory Carter set fire to a church during a night of disturbances in St. Petersburg. After Carter wrote a letter of apology, church leaders forgave him and persuaded a judge to spare him from prison. Carter, now 25, was back in court Friday, this time for sentencing in the vicious killing of Mike Kelley during a robbery in St. Petersburg. Carter was not the sorry young man he was after the church fire. He was foul-mouthed and angry. He berated the victim's family, cursed at the judge and asked for the death penalty. "You shut up. F--- you," Carter yelled at Judge Brandt Downey during the sentencing. "Give me my sentence so I can get the f--- out of your ugly face." At one point, Carter spit toward Downey and called him a "filthy dog." "Shut your mouth, b----," Carter yelled at the sister of his victim.. Willard Brown Pleads Guilty In Kidnap-Rape-Murder of White Woman   A man pleaded guilty Thursday to the 1984 murder of newspaper copy editor Deborah Sykes -- a case which saw another black man spend nearly two decades in prison. Willard E. Brown pleaded guilty in Forsyth Superior Court. In exchange for the guilty plea, Brown faces life in prison. He could be eligible for parole in 20 years. Darryl Hunt, the man wrongly convicted, was released from prison a year ago and was exonerated in February after DNA testing linked Brown to the crime. Two blacks who raped and murdered a White medical student sentenced in 1986 murder - (warning: goofy audio at link)   The two black men who raped and murdered White medical student Lori Roscetti 18 years ago are going to prison. DNA evidence linked the men to the 1986 murder and today Duane Roach and Eddie Harris pleaded guilty to the Roscetti murder. Lori Roscetti was a 23-year-old medical student at Rush University in 1986. On October 17th, 1986, she was abducted at knifepoint, sexually assaulted and beaten to death. Investigators say every bone in Roscetti's face had been broken and on her body they found fingerprints and pubic hairs belonging to Roach and Harris, as well as their DNA. An Alamo Heights teacher was raped, abducted and shot to death   before her body was buried in a field in northeast Bexar County. The affidavit revealed that Pearl Ann Cruz, 15, and her father, Ronnie Neal, 33, allegedly teamed up to kill Dianne Tilly, 58, whose remains were discovered in a field in northeast Bexar County. Cruz allegedly set the violence in motion by knocking on Tilly's door the night of Nov. 22., asking the teacher if she could use her phone because her car had broken down.

Dark suspect in savage rape-murder of White Co-ed dies after sucessful suicide in prison  The man charged with killing a UNC-Wilmington student died after leaping off a staircase onto a hard floor at a prison in an apparent suicide attempt. Curtis Dixon, 21, broke away from a correction officer Wednesday night, ran to the top of a cell block staircase and leaped headfirst to the concrete floor about three levels below.

Southeast Slayings Suspect Caught in La.  MONROE, La. -- A man wanted in Georgia and South Carolina in connection with two killings, a rape and an armed robbery was captured after crashing his stolen car during a police chase, authorities said. Tobias Chano "Toby" Lee, 28, had just gotten off Interstate 20 Tuesday afternoon after a Louisiana state trooper signaled him to pull over for following another vehicle too closely, police said. As the trooper approached the car, Lee sped away, leading to a chase at speeds as high as 90 mph, said Trooper Julie Lewis. Antonio Evins has been sentenced to death for the abduction, rape
and murder of Rhonda Ward,
a local convenience store clerk. The Judge set the execution for Jan.
19. The execution will likely be delayed for years while the case
moves through the appeals process. Ward's nude body was found in an apple
orchard. Two days earlier, Evins took Ward from her job at Cigarettes
4 Less , sexually assaulted her and stabbed her a dozen times in her arms
and chest. He used the money he stole from her to fund a drug binge.

Evidence Leads To Arrest In Bible Store Killings  Prosecutors
charged a man in a double murder at a Raytown Bible bookstore last month.
Kellen C. McKinney, 27, is charged with two counts of first-degree
murder and two counts of armed criminal action in the deaths of John
Caylor, 79, and his wife, Mildred, 76. A customer who had gone
to the Caylor's Bible and Book Store noticed the door to the business
was locked and looked through a window and saw a body on the floor. Police
