Black 'athlete' that raped 15-year-old White girl wins scholarship  ROME,
Ga. -- A high school football star whose college career was derailed by a rape
conviction will attend Hampton University in Virginia this fall on an athletic
scholarship. Marcus Dixon only spent 15 months in prison after being convicted
of aggravated child molestation, a felony, and statutory rape, a misdemeanor.
He was accused of assaulting a 15-year-old classmate
in a trailer behind Pepperell High School in February 2003, when he was 18. A
jury acquitted Dixon of rape, but he was sentenced to 10 years in prison on the
molestation charge. Some called the case an injustice because Dixon is black
and the girl is white, although prosecutors denied that race played a role.

Public School teacher's aide got 14-year-old student pregnant Court
records show Russell Cruickshank had sex with a 14-year-old student. After
having the baby, the girl told her foster mother her teacher was the father. Cruickshank's

Milwaukee pastor was given a 2½ year prison sentence in an exorcism that

laid on Terrance Cottrell's chest
for at least an hour while trying to release "demons" from him,

Orleans: Authorities Seek 2 Men In Brutal Kidnap, Rape and Attempted Murder  Police
have issued an arrest warrant for Bobbie Caulton, 33, of 1808 Cambridge
Drive, in LaPlace, on charges of aggravated rape, aggravated kidnapping and attempted
first-degree murder. Also being sought is Leroy Sanders Jr. He is wanted
on charges of aggravated kidnapping and being a principal to aggravated rape.

Day, the final defendant in the carjacking and murders of two college students,
has been sentenced to four consecutive life sentences without parole. The 21-year-old
Amy Shute and 20-year-old
Jason Burgeson were carjacked from
a parking lot in downtown Providence. They were driven to a golf course under
constructio where they were shot execution-style as they huddled together and
begged for their lives. The judge called the murders "the most barbaric,
senseless, merciless, horrific, dehumanizing crimes that this court has been exposed

Rape Suspect Back In Wake County After Capture In Florida  RALEIGH,
N.C. -- A rape suspect has been returned to the Triangle after being captured
in Florida. Timothy Owens was in a Wake County courtroom Monday. Police
believe Owens raped two women in April and June. United States Marshals arrested
him in Miami earlier this month. |

Cesar Cadena Jailed On Rape, Kidnapping Charges 
A Springfield man is behind bars accused of raping and kidnapping a woman. Authorities
said during the alleged attack, the suspect repeatedly slashed the victim's face
in an attempt to leave permanent scars. Cesar Cadena, 20, faces a dozen
charges, including rape, kidnapping and extortion. Cadena pleaded not guilty.
Authorities said Cadena raped the woman in the car and then took her keys and
used them to slash her face and told her he wanted to leave scars. |
Antonio
Goldman Arrested for Raping Jogger
Antonio Goldman was captured by Madison County Deputies Wednesday night
driving a white Cadillac, just like the one described by eyewitnesses.
The victim says the rape occurred while she was jogging along a walking trail,
where she was attacked by a man armed with a knife. Police say Goldman has served

charged in series of sexual assaults in Miami-Dade County Miami
· Eight years after police say he robbed and raped his first victim, Miami-Dade
police arrested the man they allege is behind a series of sexual assaults in south
Miami-Dade County. Police on Thursday charged Alton Lamont Keels, 26, in
three separate cases. The attacks occurred between April 22, 1996, and June 4,

Charges Serial Rape Suspect Rayshun With 31 Felony Counts  A
man accused in at least five metro-area rapes will face 31 felony counts in Oklahoma
County. The District Attorney filed the charges against Rayshun Mullins,
22. The charges against Mullins range from kidnapping, first-degree rape and robbery
to assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. Mullins has reportedly confessed
to assaulting women in Oklahoma City and Midwest City. Investigators said they

-- A Toledo woman, who was kidnapped, raped and robbed, believes her attacker's
punishment does not fit the crimes. In fact, she says "she's insulted"
by the sentence. The 41-year-old victim showed up in court Tuesday, hoping Lamond
Johnson would get close to the maximum penalty of 30 years in prison. But,

police have arrested a Columbia man in connection with the alleged rape of a 14-year-old
girl. Police found Santios Darrell Leake, 25, around 2 p.m. yesterday hiding
in the attic closet of a home at 200 Third Ave., where the alleged incident took
place the day before. Leake "implicated himself in sexual relations"

500+ Years to Life, Belmont Shore Rapist
LONG BEACH — The man dubbed the "Belmont Shore Rapist"
for a five-year string of attacks that victimized women in Long Beach and in parts
of Orange County was convicted today of 59 criminal counts. Mark Wayne Rathbun,
34, could face in excess of 500 years to life in prison when he is sentenced Sept.
15, a prosecutor said. A 77-year-old woman said Rathbun raped her twice. Another

police arrested an officer after he was indicted for attempted sexual assault,
kidnapping and extortion. Officer Aaron Won allegedly took a 27-year-old
Lahaina resident to jail after she refused his demand for sexual favors during
a traffic stop. The alleged victim said that when she refused, she was arrested
and taken to the Napili sub-station. The alleged victim said there was no sexual
contact and that the officer was in uniform and driving a police patrol car at

Hispanic Arrested for Attempted Rape of 4-Year Old Girl  Vicente
Perez-Hernandez has been charged with burglary and the attempted rape of a
four-year-old girl that occurred in the early morning hours of Sunday, August
8. At about 1:45 a.m. on Sunday, the girl's mother was awakened by a scream coming
from her daughter’s bedroom. When she entered her daughter’s room, she
saw an unknown Hispanic man naked, in her daughter’s bed with her daughter.

police on Sunday. Police say Jerome Gregory was found under a couch in

and raped a woman living in the Hillside neighborhood on Thursday. "He hit

Suspect
in carjacking, rape of mother, son arrested in New Jersey The
victim was successful in getting away from this man, 31-year-old Lamont Johnson,
who is accused of carjacking, then raping a mother with her 2-year-old son strapped
in the car seat. After being raped, the 17-year-old mother kept her head, getting
away from her attacker, grabbing her child from the car seat and running towards
some lights. That was this house across the street. A man hear her cries for help
and when he came outside he took off his shirt, wrapping it around the mother
and her child. "He heard her screaming, he was able to help her and called

- Two men recently charged with rape made their initial appearance in court Friday.
Melvin Perkins, 32, of Rock Hill, S.C., and Jerrard Gillespie, 18,
of Pocatello, were arrested Aug. 3. Both men are being held at Bannock County
Jail on $25,000 bond. The incident for which Perkins and Gillespie are charged
allegedly involved forced sexual activity with a 17-year-old

rare for a Kentucky prison inmate to be released after his first parole hearing
— especially if he's been convicted of murder. But Taquan Neblett made
a compelling case. He was 16 when he killed Russell
Gilbert, a Louisville cab driver in 1993 and had no prior convictions.
Neblett is charged with robbing Sami's Music in Lexington and shooting the store's
owner, Sami Hajibrahim, 31, and an
employee, Derek Elam, 22, multiple
