urges death penalty for black for rape, murder of 14-year-old white girl  SAN
DIEGO - A man "crossed the line" and deserves the death penalty for
kidnapping, raping and killing a 14-year-old
girl in 1986, a prosecutor said. George Williams Jr.,
49, was convicted of first-degree murder, rape, kidnapping and special circumstance
allegations that the murder of Rickie Blake
happened during a rape and kidnapping. Her body was found the next
day, along the side of the road near a freeway offramp. "He is simply a pedophile,"
Dusek told the jury. "That's the way he's wired. Because he likes kids. He
likes sex with little kids. That's what he enjoys." Dusek told the jurors they could consider past criminal conduct by Williams, including the 1981 rape of a 15-year-old girl which the defendant got away with; the 1984 molestation of his 6-year-old daughter to which he pleaded guilty; the 1985 rape of a 20-year-old woman in Oakland that he got away with; the rape of a 24-year-old woman and the rape of her 6-year-old daughter one week after he killed Blake; and the sodomizing of a 13-year-old male family member after the defendant got out of prison in 1998. Child Rape, Sodomy Suspect Pleads Not Guilty Keith
Knuckles pleaded not guilty to child rape and sodomy charges. He's also being
questioned about the death of his 5-year-old daughter. She was found inside the
family's home by police looking to arrest Knuckles. For nearly a month, investigators
were unable to locate Knuckles to arrest him. When they went to his home, he wasn't
there, but police found his 5-year-old daughter
lying dead in her bed. An autopsy revealed that she'd likely been dead
more than 24 hours. |

"Bike path rapist" accused of kidnap-rape of 16-year-old girl on her
way to school An
alleged abduction in September led investigators to a man who now stands accused
of raping a 16-year-old girl twice.
Roger S. Black allegedly raped the girl as she was walking to Newark High
School. "He grabbed her and forced her to the bike path." Later on Sept.
15, another woman was abducted in a strikingly similar manner. A suspect snuck
up behind a woman on the bike path and grabbed her, asking her to go with him.
When the woman said no, the man pulled out a knife, grabbed her and tried to pull
her into the woods. |

Analysis Links Inmate to 12 Slayings  The
victims were all women, their bodies found mostly in one South L.A. swath. The
accused is serving time in state prison for rape. A onetime pizza deliveryman
now in prison for rape is suspected of being one of the most prolific serial killers
in Los Angeles history after police used DNA to link him to the slayings
of 12 women over more than a decade. LA police allege that Chester
Dwayne Turner, 37, preyed mostly on women he encountered in South-Central
L.A., raping and strangling them, then dumping their bodies. -

jury "dreadlocks" in case of rape of UCLA coed by three black 'youths'
on field trip to campus
A second jury has deadlocked in the case of a 19-year-old man charged with
raping a U-C-L-A student in her dormitory room. The judge declared
a mistrial today after the panelists said they could not reach a verdict in the
case of Deshawn Stringer. The first jury deadlocked in May on the rape
charge against Stringer. In that trial, Stringer was convicted on a separate misdemeanor
charge of sexual battery involving a different U-C-L-A student. "The three
contended the woman invited them into her dorm room and initiated the sexual encounters."

-- Police and Fulton County prosecutors announced a $10,000 reward is being offered
for a man who sexually assaulted a 13-year-old
girl recently and also considered a prime suspect in the rape and murder
nine years ago of another Atlanta girl. Authorities have linked the man through
his DNA to the rape and fatal shooting of Nicole
Smith, 14, on a dirt path in Atlanta nine years ago. Nicole, an eighth-grader,
was on her way to middle school in southwest Atlanta on June 7, 1995, using a
dirt path behind her apartment as a short cut, when she was sexually assaulted
and fatally shot in the head. Authorities said they suspect the man might have
been in jail, which could account for the nine-year lag between reported crimes.

Police searching for black that raped a 13-year-old girl Baltimore
Police are asking for the public's help locating a rape suspect. The 13-year-old
female victim says it began as she walked along Greenspring Avenue.
The girl says the suspect, who had been sitting in front of a house, followed
her then ran up to her, placed her in a headlock and forced her into a wooded
area. Once in the wooded area, the suspect placed a knife to the girl's neck,
pulled her shirt over her head and proceeded to rape her. The suspect is described
as a black male. |

man suspected of sexually assaulting a 12-year-old boy appeared in court Friday.
Brandon Dawson, 22, was captured by police after robbing a bank. The boy was at a soccer game at about 2:15 p.m. when Dawson told the boy he had a gun and forced him into a bathroom inside the school. He then attacked him, police said. Butler University police officer was fatally shot outside the campus fieldhouse
Friday morning, and a suspect in the slaying died after being shot by officers
later in the day. Butler Officer James Davis,
31, was shot in the parking lot of Hinkle Fieldhouse. Later, police shot Kahdir
Al Khattab a few blocks from campus. Al Khattab, 26, who police say matched
the denoscription of the man who shot Davis, was taken to a local hospital and died
